Oracle Senior Director, Global Field Marketing in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Manages a team that engages in business development strategies and programs in support of Oracle*s Sales Organization.

Manages, through lower level managers and directors, a team of business development consultants. Team is responsible for developing new accounts and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory, industry, product segment or channel. Participates as a team member in strategic and tactical planning for the division. With guidance from the vice president, oversees market analysis, monitors competitive activity and identification of customer needs. Provides leadership in the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementing of strategic business objectives. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Participates in the recruiting process and makes hiring decisions. Manages budget. Provides support to marketing and sales programs. Participates in implementation of organizational changes in line with changing business and market.

Directs and ensures the implementation of operational policies through subordinate managers. Interacts internally and externally with executive management, providing negotiation of difficult matters to influence policy. Functional expertise and broad company knowledge important. Business management experience, and Marketing/Business Development experience in the high-tech industry preferred. Proven leadership skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. 7 - 10 years previous people management experience. Proven ability to manage budget, approval processes, resource allocations. Professional credentials in Marketing. Academic credentials desirable. Working knowledge of business development job. Thorough understanding of Oracle*s products and services. Ability to lead a team in all areas of strategic business development. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong quantitative, analytical, and conflict resolution ability.

The Senior Director, Global Field Marketing isresponsible for leading the global field marketing organization and theregional field marketing teams (currently NAS, APAC, Japan, EMEA and LAD),acting as key advisor to the sales management leaders. Efforts include aligningthe marketing strategy, tactics and operations of the regional field marketingteams with the global marketing and go-to-market strategies. Developing strategiclead velocity programs and pipeline acceleration programs in alignment withregional market needs. Interface with the VPs of sales in regions to ensurebusiness needs are addressed appropriately.

Leading and coordinating the regional field marketing teams.

Working with the broader marketing organization, this role is accountable for leading the strategic development of regional programs to contribute to pipeline generation as well as elevating the organization's corporate profile in respective regions.

Work closely with the sales and business development leaders to create client acquisition, retention, and strategically grow their footprint in a variety of geographic markets on a global scale.

Developing, implementing, managing and communicating regional marketing plans in alignment with regional business needs and global marketing strategy.

Strategizing and implementing multi-channel marketing communications campaigns in cooperation with the Oracle Marketing Cloud corporate marketing team as well as aligning with CX marketing teams.

Working with product marketing to ensure regionally relevant messaging.

Developing the annual field marketing strategy and budget to support business objectives.

In depth lead funnel and lead progression analysis to identify needs for adjustments in marketing and go-to-market strategies.

Tracking regional marketing budget spend against targets

Building strong working relationships with company executives, Marketing/Sales/Business Development Team, vendors, agencies and partners to promote an integrated go-to-market approach across the organization.

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field, MBA is preferred.

10 year s professional experience in business-to-business and/or business-to-government communications (preferably in the technology industry).

12-15 years' experience in field marketing, with additional time in another marketing, sales or a related role with a "roll up the sleeves and get it done" approach.

Proven experience with strategic planning, managing lead-generation programs, creating innovative and targeted marketing programs that generate results.

Worked successfully with marketing staff across different countries and business units, taking into account cultural differences, while overseeing the execution of the tactical and operational aspects of the marketing strategy.

Demonstrable success with executive-level initiatives, complex problem analysis and resolution, and handling multiple projects of various sizes simultaneously to deadline and on budget.

Confidence and the ability to maintain a strong network of internal relationships and a visible profile within the business

An excellent communicator; self-assured and confident, with strong leadership and diplomatic skills, with the necessary gravitas to work effectively with senior executives and gain senior management buy-in.
