HarvardX aims to develop courses that showcase the breadth of Harvard and produce high quality courses to serious learners everywhere. The HarvardX team supports MOOCs and online learning more generally, in line with HarvardX's overarching strategic goals to improve teaching and learning on campus, online and beyond, advance the understanding of how students learn, and expand access to high-quality education worldwide. Duties and ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Business Development Consultant, the Digital Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for executing the department’s digital marketing initiatives. Working in conjunction with HarvardX leadership, course development teams, and partner organizations, the Digital Marketing and Communications Manager will update web content and execute compelling marketing campaigns designed to capture interest and influence enrollment in HarvardX offerings.This person will be responsible for balancing the input of the course development teams and HarvardX leadership to ensure timely production of quality work that differentiates and elevates HarvardX offerings among a variety of distinct audiences.The successful HarvardX Digital Marketing and Communications Manager will be known for effective and impactful communication skills (both internal and external to the organization), careful attention to detail, consistent work effort over time, and the ability to problem solve and seek creative approaches to meet marketing objectives. S/he will be a digital-savvy marketer, focused on creating and measuring digital marketing campaigns, known for getting assignments done well and on time and for having a proactive, collaborative approach.Specific duties will include:Writing compelling web and email copy for a variety of course topicsEnsuring web-related content is up-to-date, accessible, and optimized to meet email marketing and social media campaign goalsWorking with content teams and program leadership to coordinate social media updates and develop targeted email campaigns for their respective audiences.
