Sanofi Group Manager, Metrics & Reporting in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director, Strategic Planning and Operational Excellence, GMA, this position is responsible for working with Sanofi Genzyme medical teams across all therapeutic areas to establish scalable processes and managing reporting metrics & key performance indicators (KPIs). This position must identify key questions that drive performance and design methods for modeling data to improve decisions. This position will also oversee the process and tools necessary to manage the gathering, tracking and consolidation of performance data as well as provide dashboards and other reports. In addition, this position will support other processes and tools within Sanofi Genzyme Medical affairs including, but not limited to strategic planning for GMA and the Annual Business Plans mandated by the CIA.

Core Responsibilities

This individual will work within the Global Medical Affairs (GMA), Medical Operations group with the following responsibilities:

· Works with MA teams and leadership to design scalable processes and build consistency when appropriate across teams and therapeutic areas.

· Works with MA teams and leadership to establish appropriate metrics and KPIs to measure performance towards goals and objectives.

· Develops and communicates processes to track and gather accurate, consistent data in support of KPIs and other metrics.

  • Manages related systems and/or tools necessary for data collection and management.

  • Provides regular updates of progress to plan in the form of dashboards, slides or other requested reports.

  • Partners with IT to ensure medical requirements are understood for system related projects and coordinates ongoing support for the system.

  • Recognizes and interprets trends, opportunities, and risks; communicates insights and recommendations to management related to process and operational improvement.

  • Maintains repository of metrics, KPI’s, reports and other historical data.

  • Supports medical strategic planning process, collaborating with medical directors, commercial leads and other brand team members to develop integrated annual business plans for SG products.

  • Oversees the Annual Budget Plan process for Medical Affairs including all activities conducted with HCP’s; manages the process, tool, and is responsible for meeting compliance deadlines.

  • Support the design and execution of other tools and processes as needed to continue to improve the effectiveness of the Medical Affairs organization

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four year accredited institution, 4+ year’s relevant experience in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

  • Skills and ability to interact at all levels of the organization in a multi-cultural environment

  • Experience with one or more of the following areas: data management, pharmaceutical process improvement, IME, ISTs, Publications, or other Medical Affairs functions

  • Experience designing and executing performance metric or KPI scorecard programs

  • Understanding of data-base driven systems which may include Customer Relationship Management, Learning Management, Financial, SharePoint, or Human Resources.

  • Experience designing reports in an industry standard reporting tool like Crystal Reports, QlikView, or PowerBI.

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills to gain alignment across stakeholders

  • Working knowledge and understanding of the external environment that influences medical practices and the regulations and guidance’s such as the OIG, PhRMA Code, Sunshine Act, etc.

  • Project Management experience

  • Excellent writing skills, editing skills, excel, power point and organizational skills

  • Basic knowledge of financial processes including expense capture and budgeting/forecasting.

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively in teams, small groups and in a presentation environment

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience and familiarity with implementing continuous improvement concepts that will increase operational effectiveness

  • Business Analytics skills
