Sanofi Group Head of Global Marketing – Atopic Dermatitis (Dupilumab) in Cambridge, Massachusetts

The Head of Global Marketing – Atopic Dermatitis will develop and implement the global strategy for Dupilumab in Atopic Dermatitis and contribute to the development of our global dermatology strategy. They will work closely with their team and other members of the global, regional, and local cross-functional teams. The position will be based in Cambridge Massachusetts.

Major responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the vision and business plan, including treatment evolution strategy (disease awareness and transformation) with medical affairs, long-range forecast and investment scenarios. Accountable for global commercialization plan, including the target product profile, the strategic launch plan as well as access plan with optimization of both indications, the global brand positioning and the global launch tools

  • Represent the global atopic dermatitis commercial perspective within the Global Project Team

  • Refine the value proposition integrating physician, patient and payer views, in link with value and access people, and the business strategy as clinical evidence is generated.

  • Prepare LCM plan to support our leadership ambitions in atopic dermatitis and dermatology

  • Develop and refine the commercial ambition for the brand , including the long range forecast and work with key affiliates to determine adequate levels of resources and timelines with a view to develop a global P&L

  • Drive final choice for target population and pricing, based on market knowledge and value and access work, to ensure long term value optimization of dupilumab on the market

  • Influence optimization of the device at launch and in LCM by collecting and sharing patient’s preferences in term of injection

  • Implement and lead the global marketing brand team with adequate representatives from key countries and key Sanofi genzyme functions to align on brand objectives and strategy for atopic dermatitis and dermatology

  • Contribute to the global Key opinion leader strategy led by medical affairs

  • Build internal and external awareness (company and product) in Atopic Dermatitis

  • Maintain close and regular contact with Regeneron and ensure alignment on all required topics

  • Ensure dupilumab yearly budget optimization in alignment with Regeneron

Key activities

  • Lead the dermatology global marketing team to define and implement the prelaunch and launch strategy, working closely with Medical affairs, V&A, R&D, IA, Finance and other key stakeholders, both in sanofi and in Regeneron

  • Represent the commercial team within the global project team

  • Build dupilumab awareness in Atopic Dermatitis

  • Develop KOL strategy, in support of Medical affairs

  • Understand guidelines and evolution of these guidelines, shape the diseases

  • Contribute to the short and long term publication strategy on dupilumab and diseases led by medical affairs to optimize communication opportunities pre and post launch

  • Find cost effective and creative opportunities to engage in product communication prior to launch and during launch in order to increase awareness of the brand ( ie digital, congresses …)

  • Participate in the Value and access sub-team to ensure continuity between marketing and market access activities

  • Prepare Product / Services Communication

  • Define product positioning, key messages and communication strategy, according to different audience (Patients, Physicians, Payers, Others key stakeholders)

  • Shape the disease approach

  • Build Customer “intimacy” and develop innovative service offerings

  • Organize continuous understanding of customer’s needs (3Ps)

  • Build customer segmentations

  • Build innovative & integrated services for key customer segments including PSP, new digital/mobile applications & technologies, pricing strategy

  • Gain customer insights (payers, physicians, patients) in order to optimize brand positioning and maximize business opportunities. Build and deliver Market Research programs to support Marketing, Customer Value & Access, Pricing,…

  • Define coherent and strong LCM based on Business opportunities

  • Assess Business potential, involving countries and other internal stakeholders

  • Define scenarios, assumptions with the support of value and access for market access and pricing

  • Provide risk analysis and how to mitigate those risks with the support of value and access

  • While preparing launch, provide regions / countries support

  • Provide detailed Launch Readiness Plan

  • Build and communicate on a regular basis the “Global Brand Book” including: Disease understanding, Competition Analysis, Product TPP, Value Proposition, Market Research finding’s, One Page Strategy, ….

  • Work on label optimization with the regions and participate in the labelling team

  • Ensure device optimization at launch and in LCM as well that the development of the packagingManage the budget in alignment with RegeneronManage the Regeneron Alliance, in collaboration with R&D and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment and resolving disagreementPrepare internal reviews (LRP, Budgets, specific Steering Committees for marketing topics …)

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, marketing or business required; advanced degree preferred

  • 8 years of relevant pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience in sales and marketing roles, including in the dermatology therapeutic area

  • Experience in commercial collaborations

  • Ability to travel up to, and potentially in excess of, 40% of the time, including some weekends and hold valid international passport

  • Experienced manager of professionals and cross-functional teams in an international and complex matrix environment

  • Excellent people and communication skills, ability to operate and influence in a diverse and complex matrix environment, and ability to build sustainable social relationships within the organization and with customers

  • Demonstrated excellence in project management and effectively managing multiple projects/priorities on-time and within budget

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills enabling effective communication at all levels of the organization
