Overview

We are seeking a creative and passionate designer to create amazing user experiences with high visual impact! You should have an eye for great design, possess superior UI skills, and be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, ultimately transforming them into intuitive, functional and beautiful user interfaces. You will work on all aspects of our products (mobile, web, packaging, etc.)

Not only will you be a skilled practitioner, but you will be a relentless advocate for user experience design. Reporting to the Creative Director of Products and UX, you will work within a talented group of designers, and interface with colleagues across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Think creatively and develop new concepts, graphics and layouts

  • Collaborate with product management, research, and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions

  • Execute all visual design stages from early concept to final hand-off to engineering

  • Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design challenges

  • Create journey maps, wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas

  • Present designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders

  • Collaborate closely with the research team to conduct user research and evaluate user feedback

  • Manage and direct additional contract design resources, as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design or similar field. Master’s Degree in relevant discipline preferred

  • 5+ years of Proven UI experience, demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio

  • A human-centered approach to design

  • Ability to work with product owners and project managers to craft compelling and relevant user stories

  • Experience creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows

  • Proficiency in relevant software; including Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, OmniGraffle, etc.

  • Ability to quickly mock-up interface concepts through various media, and to prepare clickable prototypes

  • Excellent visual design skills

  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively

  • Up-to-date with latest design trends and technologies

  • Experience working within an Agile development process

  • Familiarity with designing connected ecosystems

  • Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills

  • Ability to analyze and optimize user workflow, thought, and tasks – and identify ways to simplify or clarify

  • Propensity to ask good questions that inform the design process

  • Experience in healthcare preferred, but not required

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript preferred, but not required
