Additional Information:SUMMARY:This full-time position is responsible for numerous functions for the Academic and Development Coordination (ADC) department in the FAS Development office under the supervision of the Associate Director, Academic and Development Coordination. The ADC department is responsible for donor and faculty engagement strategies and matching donor interests with Harvard content to ensure impactful philanthropy and positive donor experiences. We achieve this by building strategic partnerships within development and across the Faculty of Arts and Sciences to coordinate donor cultivation and stewardship strategies that include faculty and senior academic administrators.This position will coordinate the daily activity of the ADC faculty programs and donor engagement work, providing the team with project management; coordination of ADC and fundraiser interactions with senior academic leaders; support for faculty programming and travel; and organization of on-campus donor engagement visits. This position requires the ability to maintain strong and positive working relationships with development colleagues and members of the FAS administration. As required, assists the Associate Director, Academic and Development Coordination, and other members of the ADC team in activities related to donor engagement strategy and activity that includes the coordination of faculty and academic administrators.2. Cultivates and maintains relationships between ADC and other departments within Alumni Affairs & Development, including frontline fundraising teams, Operations, Alumni & Development Services, Communications, Donor Relations, and the University Development Office. Serves as a liaison between the Development Office and administrative and academic units in the FAS, including the offices of academic deans and leaders across the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.3. Is responsible for organizing regular meetings between the Development office and academic administrators/faculty who partner with Development including, but not limited to, members of the FAS Academic Planning Group (composed of School and Divisional Deans and other academic leaders), faculty champions associated with specific fundraising initiatives, and other academic and administrative leaders; this work includes tracking agenda items across the ADC team and the office, preparing materials, and coordinating attendees.4. With manager and team members, creates and manages detailed itineraries for faculty and administrator trips that include development events and/or prospect and donor visits. Manages all logistics and expenses associated with faculty and administrator travel.5. Manages ADC’s campus visit activity, including making arrangements for prospects and donors to sit in on classes, to meet with faculty and/or academic department staff, and to participation in other on-campus experiences. Collaborates with the other ADC coordinator regarding activity related to on-campus residential House tours for fundraisers, prospects, and donors.6. As assigned, aids manager and other members of ADC with strategy and recruitment of faculty – both to participate in fundraiser education opportunities within the Development Office and to take part in cultivation and stewardship events and meetings with prospects and donors.7. Supports the Associate Director and members of the ADC team in developing visit pipelines for senior administrators (in collaboration with colleagues from the Office of Capital Giving), researching content and faculty for development activity, proof-reading briefings and event-related materials, and maintaining and updating faculty activity tracking systems to inform future activity and strategy decisions.8. Handles various administrative duties (e.g. arranging meetings, maintaining files, entering data).9. Attends required AA&D and FAS Development training sessions, meetings, and events.10.
