Experience producing publications (reports, newsletters, promotional material)
Experience creating audiovisual content, and knowledge of photo and video software applications
Experience in Africa and/or African Studies

The communications portfolio includes marketing and branding, reports and publications (both print and electronic), media relations, and maintaining the CAS website and other social media platforms.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Management of the CAS website, social media platforms, and various listservs
Production and distribution of the CAS newsletter
Production management of posters, pamphlets, annual reports, and press packs
Development and maintenance of the CAS visual brand and related assets
Development and maintenance of media contacts across a range of media outlets (local, national, and international; print, broadcast, radio, and electronic) and drafting of media releases when necessary
Development and maintenance of CAS photo and video cache
Attendance at a variety of events, conferences, and meeting structures on behalf of CAS
