Massachusetts Institute of Technology Communications and Development Manager in Cambridge, Massachusetts
COMMUNICATIONS AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, Priscilla King Gray Public Service Center (PKG Center), to support and coordinate communications and resource development activity that engages and inspires students and donors. Will execute and support communications and fund-raising initiatives by providing project management and production support, helping to develop and implement strategies for PKG communications, and offering general support on design and editorial tasks on an as-needed basis. Will also support the center’s program staff in their communications and outreach efforts to students, campus colleagues, and community partners; and work closely with Resource Development staff to ensure that all development communication activities are appropriately coordinated. Major areas of responsibility include content generation, platform management, project/production management, brand management, fund-raising and donor stewardship, student training and support, campus collaborations and coordination, and evaluation and assessment. Will report to the PKG Center’s senior director.

REQUIRED: a bachelor’s degree (master's preferred); a minimum of five years of experience in marketing, communications, or related field; excellent writing and editing skills and ability to translate complex content into clear, approachable, and compelling materials; strong verbal communication, presentation, and relationship building skills; experience with and knowledge of development communications including gift solicitations, stewardship, and donor recognition and administration; strong problem solving skills and judgment; ability to anticipate needs and be proactive; team-orientation; leadership ability; and knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe CS, Drupal, and social medial platforms. Experience in higher education and with audiovisual production and graphic design desirable. Job #14845-P
