Fri. 35hrs./wk.Job Function:Arts Duties & Responsibilities:Under the leadership of Artistic Director, Diane Paulus the American Repertory Theater aims to expand the boundaries of theater and engage thousands of theatergoers at more than 300 performances and events each season.   The Marketing and Communications department is responsible for building the organizational brand and implementing sales strategies that result in more than $5MM in annual earned revenue. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications, the Marketing and Communications Fellow is a core member of the team and a key stakeholder in executing the marketing and communications strategies surrounding artistic, community, and education programs. The Marketing and Communications Fellow is responsible for supporting the management of the marketing team. The successful candidate will undertake a broad range of responsibilities including developing content and supporting the distribution of all marketing communications such as print collateral and direct mail, display materials, advertising, promotional videos, and email communications, including managing direct outreach initiatives. The Fellow coordinates with the marketing team management on all social media initiatives, including proposing and scheduling posts for Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. This position provides the team regular analysis of current strategies and campaigns for both social media, digital activity, and email campaigns; monitors and manages external site activity for Yelp, Google +, TripAdvisor, etc.; responds to and monitors patron feedback; creates and implements keyword and Adword campaigns; updates website copy and imagery; and researches and recommends new tools, technologies, and social media outlets. In tandem with online communications, the Marketing and Communication Fellow creates, implements, and responds to patron surveys as needed to support marketing research and customer service needs. This position also supports and assists the Assistant Director of Media Relations as needed with press outreach and other tasks as assigned including research, publishing press releases online, updating online listings at various media outlets, and tracking and archiving digital press clippings. The Marketing and Communications Fellow interfaces with other departments within the organization including the Literary and Artistic teams, aligning and facilitating targeted departmental communications as well as institution wide communications with the overall brand. This position participates fully in all marketing events, such as opening nights, press nights, open houses, receptions, and other special events and may represent the institution at community and industry wide events.
