Nuance Communications Service Provider (CSP) business is seeking a Product Manager for its Mobile Financial Services business.

THIS ROLE IS LOCATED IN BURLINGTON, MA AND IS NOT REMOTE. CANDIDATES MUST BE WILLING TO RELOCATE.

Communications Service Providers (CSP) around the world have a powerful relationship with their consumers, with the ability to bill them for network services (airtime, data) and to sell them other first- and third-party services using airtime and data as credit (e.g. content, video, music, insurance). Some mobile operators are beginning to operate directly as banks in certain markets, like India and some African countries. A new ecosystem has emerged around top-ups – physical and digital – gifting, and lending.

The Product Manager will play a critical role in evaluating market opportunities and defining new products that enable our Carrier partners and Nuance to expand wallet share.

The Product Manager will be responsible for defining and driving the product strategy in support of our carrier partners. You will work in collaboration with Product Development, as well as Marketing and Sales to identify market opportunities and define a product roadmap that accelerates growth.

This Nuance Product Manager will act as the business and technical owner and will need to stay abreast of the latest technologies and trends to define and execute product strategy, and to ensure market needs are met with compelling products that deliver maximum benefit to customers and maximum impact to Nuance and our Carrier partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead product management efforts for Mobile Financial Solutions, with responsibility for defining the product roadmap for Nuance and our Carrier partners.

  • Articulate and justify a compelling vision for mobile Financial Services products in the CSP market, encompassing where consumer behavior will go and how that will affect industry economics.

  • Conduct market analysis and opportunity assessment for current and future products aimed at maximizing revenues and margins.

  • Analyze financials and develop business cases to justify investments and define priorities.

  • Definitively articulate the value chain and financial flow of theentire MFS ecosystem, including credit and debit card issuers, acquirers, flags and other relevant players in the value chain.

  • Present market requirements, trends, competitive landscape, product roadmap, pricing and packaging options, cost model, and P&L to the executive team

  • Lead cross-functional and cross-divisional coordination for the successful design, development, delivery, documentation, training, launch, sale of new services

  • Effectively package new offers for sale through Nuance teams as well as through Carrier partners, managing go-to-market to meet or exceed annual revenue targets

  • Drive strong communication processes between product management, sales and Carrier partners, ensuring a clear feedback loop to inform product and services evolution

  • Provide subject matter support to sales, and Carrier partners.

Qualifications

Number of Years of Work Experience: 8+ years Product Management experience

Required Skills:

  • Deep experience in the Mobile Financial Services market with a proven track record of driving revenue growth for mobile operators from advertising revenues

  • Strong user experience knowledge, with the ability to demonstrate why certain user experiences are superior.

  • Proven ability to unify a cross-functional team of opinionated design, technical, commercial, financial, marketing, sales and executive colleagues behind your vision.

  • Experience working closely with partners in developing joint solutions

  • Proven ability to successfully manage the product lifecycle of complex technical software.

  • Ability to work with senior management and technical teams to produce world-class products

  • Proven ability to identify key customer requirements and translate them into detailed product requirements for next generation products

  • High-energy, low-ego person who acts with urgency and integrity at all times.

Preferred Skills:

  • International experience.

  • Experience with Agile development methodology

Education:

  • BS in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing or related field.

  • MBA preferred.
