Overlay sales personnel providing specialist product expertise to the sales force.
Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions. Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory. Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market. Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities. Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility. Presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees. May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions. Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge.
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years field sales experience. Subject matter expertise in industry/product space. Knowledge of key industry leaders and management. Knowledge of Oracle competition. Presentation and product demonstration experience. Understanding of software and consulting arenas. Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers. Travel may be needed. BA/BS degree in related field.

Presales Strategic Consultant - Consumer Job Description
The Presales Strategic Consultant serves as a resource for Oracle Marketing Cloud (OMC) Sales and other Presales teams in the development of insight-driven digital marketing sales strategies from opportunity identification through to experience definition. The Presales Strategic Consultant answers fundamental questions such as how brands are communicated and experienced through digital interactions (advertising, search, email, mobile (app, app messaging, SMS/MMS), the web) and how digital interactions fit into broader customer experiences. They serve a vital role in promoting the integration of cross-functional Oracle teams and facilitate seamless delivery of all OMC sales material to the prospect. The role requires an innovator, a trendsetter, and a progressive thinker who can connect digital to all other aspects of a prospect business and identify growth opportunities for both the prospect and the OMC sales organization.
Working with the members of the opportunity pursuit team, help convince prospects of the strategic value of digital marketing technology to their business assist them in defining needs, opportunities and potential solutions.
o Gain a strong knowledge of prospects business objectives, online strategies, and their competitive landscape to deliver effective digital marketing recommendations.
o Drive executive-level discussions of the role of digital within the entire marketing strategy ecosystem, leveraging rich knowledge OMC product and service capabilities to discuss solutions that meet/exceed prospect objectives.
o Serve as a thought leader for aligning a client's digital marketing strategy with their business goals and objectives.
o Act as a resource for Sales Consultant teams in the development of insight-driven digital strategies from opportunity identification through to experience definition.
o As appropriate, play an active role in new client acquisition and new business presentations.
7 years' experience in digital marketing or strategic marketing consulting with at least two years' experience in executing a digital strategy for a consumer brand.
In-depth knowledge of integrated marketing and digital disciplines (including audience identification and analysis, targeting, experience design, digital production, and digital analytics.)
Strong familiarity with digital marketing strategies and metrics.
Strong passion for and knowledge of technology and digital marketing.
Team player with the confidence and integrity to earn client and internal team confidence quickly.
Strong communication and presentation skills
Experience in sales or supporting a Sales organization in a presales role is desired
Expertise with a number consumer industries (retail, travel, banking, grocery, subscription) desired
