HarborOne Bank Retail Development Officer in Brockton, Massachusetts
Under the Direction of the VP Branch Director this position will be responsible for assisting in the development of new strategies, programs and key initiatives for the Retail Division. With a goal of maintaining our unparalleled customer experience and strong employee engagement, this position will execute assignments supporting our strong culture while meeting the Division’s short and long-term objectives of continued growth, profitability and efficiency. This position will require a strong work ethic and the ability to function independently, as well as in groups. Strong project management skills will be required to lead the development of new initiatives and support a variety of projects running in tandem.
Some Job Duties:
Staffing, Forecasting, Staffing Model and FTE analysis
Project management- assisting with new LPO, new branches
Business Intelligence on efficiency and performance – data collection and reporting
Human Capital Management
Flex-times initiative (Improving employee engagement). Drilling down on Best Place to Work data to improve engagement
Customer Experience- benchmarking, industry analysis and best practices
Job Descriptions- writing and drafting. Evaluating job titles, roles, plan for RB launch
Writing procedures and job aides- operations, customer experience, sales, new branch model, re-engineering our dept.
Oversight of Retail Calendar and key deliverables
Due Diligence on vendors and partners- administrative functions
Neighborhood marketing- planning and execution
Budget review and analysis; assisting in reporting and administration during budget season
Support on special projects as assigned by SVP- Retail or VP- Branch Director
Drafting pro formas, business plans and financial analysis for projects and initiatives
Product development- assessing existing product set and simplifying
Coordinating schedules for H1 Happenings videos
Community events- scheduling branch involvement; networking research for existing sites.
Customer Feedback- 360 view- Customer Journey mapping; identifying pain points, customer experience delivery
Tracking major strategic initiatives for Retail- progress, status
Coordinate and led the Retail annual event
Assist in marketing plan development and assessing markets. Prepare new markets for marketing support and community outreach.
Prepare Branch Hours proposal and communication plan
Product/Education initiative- assist in identifying gaps and executing and overseeing plan.
Lead the Innovation Committee or Lean Committee
Help drive the new LPO and Relationship Banking Group encompassing the Private Label team and the workplace solutions group (formerly Bank at Work). Eventually this person might be the officer responsible for this new arm of retail.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; and A minimum of 5 years of progressively more responsible experience in a retail banking branch system; including project management; executing initiatives that improve sales and customer experience; with prior experience working on branch/retail expansion projects. Prior experience in a management capacity with direct responsibility for diverse projects and teams preferred.
Excellent verbal communication skills with the proven ability to effectively communicate with business partners, direct reports, and other staff to complete organizational initiatives. Ability to effectively present information to management, and employees.
Strong writing skills with the ability to write routine reports, job descriptions, as well as various user guides, policies, and procedures.
Demonstrated business acumen. Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
