United Way of Greater Plymouth County Director of Resource Development in Brockton, Massachusetts

Position Reports to: President & CEO of United Way of Greater Plymouth County Work Schedule: Maximum flexibility in work week schedule required, evening or weekends as needed classification: Full time, Exempt Summary: To actively oversee and lead all Resource Development activity of the organization including annual fundraising campaign, major and planned gifts, and special event fundraisers. Cultivate corporate and individual relationships, organizes and maximizes workplace campaigns to increase participation and giving. Increase all resources to achieve the organization?s mission to unite people, ideas and resources to improve lives in Greater Plymouth County. Effective Selling: Employs consultative selling techniques to match donor interests and community aspirations to United Way products/solutions; Measures and tracks donor and campaign volunteer satisfaction. Creates win/win relationships: Understands United Way and donor objectives and where they intersect; Identifies tangible outcomes that benefit both parties; Identifies strategies and opportunities to build trust; Engages with donors year-round, not just during campaign season, to nurture and enhance relationships. Steward Donors: Recognizes the power of effective stewardship (thanking donors, informing them about the impact of their gifts, keeping them apprised of progress on the community work it is intended to address and deepening the relationship) and develops and implements plans to steward donors of all giving levels.
