The Executive Director for Business Development at Franciscan Children's must be astutely aware of the current healthcare reimbursement environment and have a proven track record of achievement in business development and relationship management in the healthcare setting. Experience in a pediatric setting is desired.
Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Director for Business Development will be an integral part of the growth initiatives, thus driving bottom line results for targeted areas of expansion and development for Franciscan Children's. In this vital role, the Executive Director of Business Development will assist in identifying, assessing and developing new business opportunities. The incumbent will also be responsible for examining referral/ market share patterns, improve existing relationships, and develop new relationships so that the Hospital continues to grow financially. The individual will work in the New England region building the market position for Franciscan Children's through partnerships with other hospitals/ providers through individual and collaborative efforts and negotiations with other countries. This leadership position brings marketing acumen to strategic hospital leadership and decision-making.
The individual we seek must have an in depth knowledge of the health care industry and proven success in business development as well as driving business results. Knowledge of and experience in relationship management is necessary.
Works with other healthcare providers / administration to strategically target and open doors with new business relationships.
Establishes keen understanding of the business environment, gathering market intelligence and using it to develop differentiation and growth strategies to help achieve organizational business goals.
Apply rigorous critical thinking and quantitative analysis to develop and test growth opportunities.
Builds relationships with New England area healthcare institutions to increase awareness, market our organization and ultimately build our patient volume and population base.
Identifies, manages and develops referral sources, educating on facility services and programs.
Builds relationships with international embassies and staff.
Provides support for initiatives related to key clinical service lines, including data-driven targeting, message development and collaborative execution of outreach efforts and results measurement.
Ensures that referral tracking reports are designed, delivered, and analyzed on a consistent basis to leadership.
Works with internal leadership to develop business growth strategies to help build specific areas within the organization.
MBA , MPH or MHA preferred.
At least 7+ years of business development experience and marketing exposure in the healthcare industry required.
Proven success in relationship development.
Must have familiarity with market analytics, data collection and interpretation of data.
Ability to work collaboratively with members of the marketing and admissions teams to establish and achieve referral goals.
Knowledge of New England health care environment preferred, pediatric community preferred.
Must be strongly motivated and self-directed.
Proven sales management skills and demonstrated results.
Strong operational understanding of a complex healthcare institution and inter-workings.
