Overview of Job Function:

The Vice President, Portfolio Market Strategy in the Product Strategy Group is tasked with leading cross-offering market vision, planning and execution for Verint’s Customer Engagement Solutions (CES) division. This role will use customer engagement market knowledge to create optimal market strategy across Verint’s current and future portfolio, and develop offering models and market strategies that bring Verint’s world-class solutions to buyers in ways that are innovative, regionally-astute, and market trend-responsive. The market strategy will be key to creating and maintaining competitive advantages, delivering unique value for customers, anticipating future opportunities, and driving continued market leadership and growth for Verint. This role can be located remotely in the US.

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

  • Drive a holistic and responsive global offering strategy for Verint CES including organic growth, go-to-market, partnerships, marketing, product roadmap, and service and support strategies.

  • Provide input into a CES M&A strategy that aligns with the corporate strategy.

  • Accelerate revenue growth by continuously analyzing and improving customer acquisition and retention messages, differentiation, value propositions, price points and consumption models for the various offerings within our portfolio.

  • Promote and encourage a modern, cloud-first but legacy customer-responsive, innovative solution and services offering portfolio approach that is driven-by and responsive-to customers’ articulated needs and pain points.

  • Understand the competitive landscape, market dynamics and industry trends in the customer engagement solutions market. Identify opportunities and respond rapidly to shifting conditions.

  • Ensure the regions are well equipped to execute the strategy with the necessary tools and materials and actively support them in achieving Verint’s financial goals and successfully servicing and supporting customers.

  • Identify new markets, regions and partners as necessary to support strategy.

  • Work with marketing to develop competitive positioning and packaging, marketing messages

  • Work with regions and global alliances to develop plans around partner/direct path to market.

  • Work with the regions to develop local plans including sales, marketing, service and support.

  • Work with marketing to create sales enablement content

  • Create content to ensure enablement for presalesand services direct and partner organizations in support of new offering launches.

  • Work with the mergers and acquisition team to identify potential acquisition candidates and assist with the acquisitions as needed.

  • Coordinate with product management and other stakeholders to identify go-to-market risk and effort for new offering candidates, jointly drive development prioritization, and assess and recommend new market and offerings opportunities.

  • Share competitive, buyer and industry changes and identified trends on a fast-turn basis to equip product, marketing, sales and services teams with the latest insights to optimize decision making.

  • Work with marketing to support development of positioning and other marketing assets Work with marketing to establish relationships with industry analysts to both effectively communicate Verint offering strategy and research/validate trends and opportunities.

  • Identify global and regional sales and service partnerships to support the portfolio market strategy and work with the global alliance and regional teams to attract key partners and promote desired adoption and outcomes.

  • Conduct a quarterly CES portfolio market strategy review with cross-functional constituents and executives to track performance to plan, identify issues and opportunities, and adjust strategy and plans accordingly.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, technology, business or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 15 years in software product marketing, product management or similar strategic operations.

  • Minimum of 10 years in management role, with strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a geographically-distributed team.

  • Experience driving solution growth and retention in different business models (e.g., SaaS, private cloud, perpetual, direct, indirect, global and regionalized) and specifically, experience with pricing and packaging strategies across these models.

  • Cloud go-to-market experience.

  • Prior experience developing and successfully executing on plans to develop new markets and/or product lines.

  • Effective at interacting with a wide range of audiences including exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communications abilities. Executive presence and presentation skills a must.

  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence and work effectively in a highly-matrixed environment to garner support, transfer enthusiasm, gather ideas, spark execution and resolve conflicts.

  • Effective problem solver with strong business acumen, creativity, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to travel approximately 40% travel, both domestic and international

  • Successful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC and a Social Security verification

  • Successful completion of a credit check necessary for those travel-related roles that will require the candidate to obtain the appropriate credit line required to travel

Preferred Requirements:

  • MBA

  • 7+ years working in the customer engagement market
