Primary Responsibilities

We are looking for a Project Architect with experience in Healthcare projects. As a Project Architect at HDR you will be responsible for: • Planning, developing and executing technical documentation for various types and scales of healthcare projects. • Establish task schedule and other components of the workplan in conjunction with the Project Manager. • Direct and coordinate production of schematic, design development and construction documentation in collaboration with the Project Manager. • Organize and distribute project team assignments that are in alignment with the project schedule. • Coordinate, collaborate and manage consultant team members, through the various design phases including construction administration. • Execute applicable agency review analysis, (building code, accessibility, zoning, life-safety, etc). • Perform construction administration duties, Requests for Information, Change Orders, field walk-throughs and Punch Lists. • Strong communication skills, participation in marketing efforts and client presentations. • Direct, organize and mentor junior staff with responsibility for oversight.


A professional degree in Architecture • 15 years of experience

• Licensure required • Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software; Revit strongly preferred • Experienced in all phases and aspects of project delivery • Familiarity with building codes, specifications, building and engineering systems • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Understanding of the project management process • Collaborative and professional work ethic • Ability to mentor, communicate and work with others effectively • Experience in healthcare architecture, desired • LEED AP or within 6 months of hire
