Who You’ll Be Working With
Our Massachusetts partner is a mission driven Primary Care ACO made up of Federally Qualified Health Centers located throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. This not-for-profit health care corporation is organized to take responsibility for managing the cost and quality of health care for MassHealth enrollees. They are uniquely positioned to be a true innovator in successfully achieving cost of care and quality goals for a large Medicaid population.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Evolent Health is looking for a Senior Director, Analytics to be a key member of the Market Operations team and of our client’s team. Evolent is building a world-class analytics function leveraging advanced data mining tools and analytic techniques (e.g. predictive modeling, simulation, optimization, strategic market analysis, clinical opportunity assessment, financial pro formas) The Senior Director, Analytics will have high-profile responsibilities that include data-driven identification of strategic market, clinical and financial opportunities, coordination of joint Evolent Health-client working teams and formulation of executive communication. Reporting to the Client’s COO, this individual will play a critical role in executing the companies’ missions through responsibilities that include data-driven identification of strategic market, clinical and financial opportunities.
Conduct analyses and develop medical economic reports to identify drivers of medical/pharmacy cost, administrative, and utilization trends and compare to benchmarks
Identify actionable opportunities to reduce total cost of care and improve quality.
Analyze and present relevant data to inform decisions related to entering risk-based relationships with payers and managing risk
Research and prepare evaluations on a variety of complex and diverse projects/problems related to health care cost and utilization, care delivery and coordination, patient and provider engagement
Leverage existing processes for tracking and prioritizing deliverables, suggesting enhancements as needed
Communicate results and analyses to Client and Evolent stakeholders.
Ensure knowledge and material are shared and leveraged across teams to create synergies and efficiencies where possible
Lead, manage, and mentor analytical staff
Identify and collaborate with others to obtain the necessary data and software infrastructure capabilities
Contribute to Analytics recruitment, training, and knowledge management initiatives
The Experience You Need ( Required)
Master's Degree in quantitative field (e.g., statistics, economics, engineering) or PhD
5-7 years of professional experience in an analytics role
Extensive experience in two or more of the following environments: Access, Excel, SAS (Crystal Reports, JMP), SAP Business Objects, Stata, ArcGIS, SQL, R, Arena, MATLAB.
5-7 years of experience with analytics involving the use of health care claims and clinical data
Finishing Touches (Preferred):
Experience working at a leading healthcare analytics, population health, or consulting firm, health insurance company or integrated delivery system including 2 years in a supervisory role
Exceptionally strong analytic abilities, with a proven track record of driving insightful findings from quantitative and qualitative data
Experience with quantitative analytics in areas such as statistics, predictive modeling, optimization, discrete event simulation
Ability to develop contextually rich and visually compelling presentations to communicate complex concepts
GIS experience strongly preferred

Collaborative working style with the ability to work across different organizations and personalities
Excellent written and oral presentation skills (preferably to c-level client executives), with the ability to engage, inspire, build credibility and engender trust across all levels of an organization
