This position is responsible to proactively call on MiddleMarket and Large Corp. size companies and institutions. The goal is to createand develop relationships with these organizations and, through thisrelationship, gain access to their employees to present the retail bank menu ofproducts and services. The Santander at Work Relationship Manager sendsbusiness to the Network as well as Phone, Online and ATM channels. He/she is incharge of implementing an annual plan with the companies in his/her portfolio;this plan includes a combination of activities like financial seminars,participation in new employee orientation, participation in benefit fairs,placing ads on the company newsletter, establishing a Santander at Work link atthe clients intranet, signing employees up to our Financial Educationnewsletter as well as other workplace events and marketing channels. TheSantander at Work Relationship Manager is also responsible to coordinate thestaffing and execution of employee events with local retail leadership.


  • Work closely with Corporate Banking RMs, CRAofficers and Santander Universities Sales Mangers to identify potentialSantander at Work clients

  • Work with corporate Banking RMs in completingemployee banking benefit requirements in all incoming RFPs

  • Self-generate leads through network inside thebank and in the community

  • Manage relationships with existing clients toinsure the Santander at Work program remains active an produces new consumeracquisition opportunities on an on-going basis

  • Provide coaching to platform team members toimprove sales effectiveness at acquisition events

  • Provide coaching to platform team members to helpthem identify Santander at Work prospects

  • Work closely with local retail bank leadership tocoordinate workplace vents and insure proper execution of those on-sites

  • Partner with regional retail leaders to ensure appropriatealignment of efforts and effective execution of employee events

  • Develop and maintain a productive Santander atWork portfolio of clients



  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably inexternal sales calling on business clients

  • Retail banking experience preferred

  • Ability to identify, partner with, and coachqualified team members to represent Santander at Work at employee events

  • Ability to manage client relationships, includingconducting business reviews, introducing new products and promotions,presenting financial education seminars, and selling additional programservices

  • Detail oriented and ability to multitask

  • Excellent oral communication skills, includingpublic speaking

  • Excellent written communication skills, includingthe development of well written proposals for Corporate Banking RFPs

  • Experience in engaging and selling to senior level/ executive decision makers

  • General business and retail banking knowledge

  • Basic market research skills using the internet
