Bose Sales Engineering Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Description

Responsible for the management of the sales engineering team in support of all Bose Professional products within the Americas (US, Canada, and Latin Markets). Working with regional sales management colleagues, ensure the correct application, design, and specification of Bose Professional product driving to established top line sales targets. The primary function of this position is personnel management of the ten member, internationally based, field team. Additionally, as a member of the Americas management team, work closely with the Sr Manager to develop and implement theater sales strategy.

This role can be located anywhere in the United States.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a team of 10 individual contributor, direct reports

  • Strategic planning- both within the engineering group and Americas at large

  • Develop annual plans for the engineering team in support of the Americas sales strategy, and take full responsibility for the execution and monitoring

  • Document and drive sales engineering processes

  • Collaborate with Product Development and Global Marketing teams to successfully bring new products to market and sell existing product.

  • Foster relationships with the global sales engineering teams for shared learning and shared resourcing of mutually beneficial activities.

  • Develop interpersonal skills of the engineering team

  • About 50-70% travel is required

Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering discipline such as recording arts & sciences, electrical engineering, or computer science

Experience: Minimum ten years in the Pro AV industry. Hands-on, professional, sound system design, installation, and training experience required. Must be proficient with AutoCAD, acoustic modelling software (Modeler and/or Ease), programming professional audio DSP units, and familiar with system commissioning software and processes. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are required, with significant experience presenting in front of customers and management. Experience working with diverse teams, leading strategy development, and implementing change.
