on real food ingredients like whole grains and fresh fruits and vegetables. We never use any high fructose corn syrup, partially or fully hydrogenated oils, or artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners. Our thousands of community hired employees are dedicated

to our mission; everyone pitches in where needed to make sure the kids we serve receive high-quality, healthy meals delivered to their schools each day. Currently, we serve seven regions across the country and are expanding into to serve new areas and schools

every year!

Summary

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead effort to maximize satisfaction and retention of customers.

  • Responsible for retention and growth of accounts.

  • Cross functional leadership/communication skills to support Regional Market Director and Regional Partnership Managers (RPMs) to support overall account management.

  • Responsible for developing an accurate net revenue forecast for the customer(s) and measuring its results against it, and explaining any variances.

  • Continuously monitor the customer economics against expectations, recommending improvements as needed.

  • Ownership of Tier One management system and support to executive sponsors.

  • Coach, mentor and develop RPMs.

  • Partner with HR to develop and deliver account management training and development.

  • Work directly with Regional Market Directors to develop account management plans for each market.

  • Work with Regional Market Directors to develop account management performance expectations and provide ongoing performance feedback for RPMs.

  • Create account management sales plan and goals related to organic growth, upsells and participation.

  • Create and maintain an on-going strategy for account management, including creating and managing data to support results.

  • Meet and exceed retention goals.

  • Provide timely and positive resolution of escalated account management issues and communicate with key customers, business partners and executives on significant issues and accomplishments.

  • Work in conjunction with business development leadership to ensure clear communication and effective sales to operations handoff processes and procedures.

  • Develop and implement account management systems, processes and best practices to ensure consistent application across all markets.

  • Develop and implement account management metrics/dashboard to establish a consistent mechanism to track and measure progress.

  • Develop and implement accountability framework for account management to ensure clear visibility at all levels of the organization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of prior account management, sales or business development experience required.

  • Embody the entrepreneurial spirit and takes ownership of his or her partnerships

  • 50-75% travel for the first year.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • K-12 or Charter School experience a plus.

  • Foodservice business within K-12 or Charter School a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to operate in a matrix management structure.

  • Strong analytical skills.
