Kforce Project Manager, Marketing - Advanced in Boston, Massachusetts

Kforce has a client seeking a Project Manager, Marketing - Advanced in Boston, MA. As a Senior Meeting Planner (contractor) you will be responsible for planning and executing proprietary events and conferences. Planners planning and organizational skills provide the foundation for the creation of a superior program that represents the SPDR brand. Planner will maintain relationships with key partners across the SPDR business. This role reports to the Vice President, Head of SPDR Events and is based in Boston.Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate with internal teams and/or vendors to successfully plan and execute propriety events, third-party conferences and sponsorships while ensuring brand consistency

  • Collaborate with executives, sales and committees to develop and finalize program format, agenda, topics, speakers

  • Collaborate with internal cross functional teams (marketing, legal and compliance) in the design and production on event related services

  • Arrange all program logistics with facilities and vendors

  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms and conditions with vendors; This includes all vendor contracts (Hotel, Production/Audio Visual Companies, etc.)

  • Manage multiple events and conferences simultaneously while maintaining highest level of client and customer satisfaction

  • Communicate pro-actively with sales on an ongoing basis to manage expectations

  • Budget and manage program finances monthly and reconcile budget at conclusion of each program

  • Share best practices of successful programs from previous experience

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 to 7 years of corporate event planning experience

  • Ability to juggle, prioritize and balance goals, projects and personalities

  • Strong communications and relationship management skills

  • Effective team player and individual high performer

  • Experience interfacing and negotiating with groups at all levels and across multiple functions, including senior sales managers and corporate executives

  • Highly customer focused and willing to provide services to both internal partners and external clients

  • Fluency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

  • Ability to travel as needed (5-10% time)
