Liberty Mutual Project Leader, No Fault Claims in Boston, Massachusetts

The No Fault Claims Product Team, within US Consumer Markets Claims organization, is looking for an experienced change agent to support strategic special projects and process implementation across the No Fault Field Claims Operations. You will be joining a team of five that works cross functionally across our 5 offices. Your main focus will be to spearhead processes improvement, increase employee engagement, and improve customer experience, all while maintaining our integrity to “Pay What We Owe”.

Our No Fault (NF) Claims teams are responsible for the payment medical bills for our policyholders, when they’re injured in car accidents. The NF Claims Product Team is responsible to lead collaboration and cross-functional work with the Adjusters who handle the Claims, Advanced Analytics Team, and Product Team members for problem identification and development/scope of strategic projects. The 3 Year Strategic Project Roadmap includes selecting and implementing automated processes, customer touch point improvements (i.e. automated emails and payment options) and integrating the Liberty Mutual and Safeco claims processes and the technology platform they operate on. This is a high visibility role with Sr. Management and will require strong presentation skills, as well as the ability to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with our field operations teams and analytics teams to define goals, key performance indicators, implementation plans, and communicate the progress of your results.

  • Prioritize opportunities and gain alignment on what the claims product team will do (and won’t do) to achieve specific objectives.

  • Design and implement technology changes and vendor solutions to make the claims adjusting work simpler, more engaging, and more accurate.

  • Map and communicate the current and future state of our claims process to key stakeholders within the No Fault organization, our senior leadership team, US and global consumer markets, and key partnering organizations like the Customer Advocacy Office.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent training required.

  • Proven track record of managing and executing large projects from start to finish, including project management, data gathering and modeling, problem solving, and communicating recommendations

  • Must possess excellent business judgment, strong written and oral communication skills, and a practical, common sense approach to getting things done

  • Exceptional attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

  • Strong numerical and analytical aptitude, and high proficiency creating and managing advanced models

  • The right candidate thrives in a high energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be driven in parallel process

  • 5 years experience in personal insurance (automobile, home) claims. Experience in Bodily Injury or No Fault Claims is a plus.

  • MBA with a quantitative focus, or advanced degrees in Operations Management

  • Strong numerical and analytical aptitude, and high proficiency creating and managing advanced models
