Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
The VP Product Manager will be responsible for the management, development and creation of an array of Business Banking products for customers with a main focus on Credit, Deposit and Treasury products. The incumbent will continuously update product features and pricing to maintain market and sales requirements and implements new products as needed. The candidate must have the ability to utilize product knowledge and industry information to assist customer service, and relationship and sales officers for ongoing service and support of complex customer issues and implementations. The candidate will contribute to the strategic direction of the Business product line and coordinates projects to ensure successful implementation. The VP Product Manager owns various products and has responsibility to oversee overall aspects of the product and run projects as well.
Major responsibilities include:
Continuously reevaluates and stays abreast of market trends regarding Business Banking products and pricing focusing on Credit, Deposit & Treasury products. Also implement pricing changes and coordinate with Marketing to communicate with customers and update sales materials.
Make recommendations for enhancements to existing products and for new products
Prepare detailed product design documents including the business case documentation to upper management
Develop and bring to market new and enhanced services for business customers; coordinate process flow and support of the product within the bank, and participate in the testing process within the bank and the customer pilot group
Monitor and prepare reporting on product P & L and strategize with management to increase profitability
Provide sales support including:
Training on products and pricing
Assistance on customer calls
Subject matter expect and work with Security and Compliance to mitigate and understand risk for the products that are supported to comply with regulatory and bank policy requirements
Update and coordinate the creation of new customer agreements and customer disclosures to adhere to regulatory changes
Coordinate and manage activities and projects involving product changes with internal areas and vendors
Education and Experience:
College degree or equivalent business experience required
6-10 years of banking experience in the business sector in operations or product management
Prior experience with Credit, Deposit or Treasury products
Project and process management experience required
Analytical, experienced with MS Word, Excel and Project
Attention to detail
Excellent communication skills both oral and written
