Corporate and Commercial Banking (CCB) is an area of strategic focus for Santander Bank, both in the US and internationally, with meaningful growth goals over the next several years. Key segments within CCB include Middle Market Banking, Asset Based Lending and Government Banking. Key product and service focuses include Cash Management, International Services, Payment Solutions and Equipment Finance.The Product and Segment Commercial Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of an integrated, multi-channel marketing plan for these segments that help drive success for Commercial banking and the overall brand of the Bank. In this role, he/she is responsible for engaging with business segment leadership and their teams to ensure a deep understanding of and alignment with their strategies, goals and initiatives. He/she is also responsible for maintain a high level of persistent collaboration with internal and external marketing partners in order to develop and deliver the marketing plan. The person in this role is also responsible for ensuring market research and data analytics are included in the development of business strategy, marketing strategy and marketing ROI analysis. He/she will support marketing activities across digital, sales force, direct, media and event marketing channels to help drive necessary share of mind and sales engagement in support of new commercial products (examples, cash management, commercial cards) and value proposition launches.II.
Work closely with internal and external partners to lead the development and implementation of an integrated, multi-channel marketing plan -- including the measurement and optimization of campaigns with the plan -- for one or more complex business segments. 60%
Engage with assigned business segment(s), by 1) developing and maintaining close working relationships with business segment partners, including executive management, 2) participating as an extended member of the business segment leadership and working teams, and 3) developing deep business segment knowledge.15%
Developvelop insights from marketing research, client data analytics and marketing ROI analytics and incorporate into marketing strategy and tactics. 10%
Manage internal team members indirectly, as well as agency partners, in the execution of marketing plans, ensuring marketing deliverables are on strategy and on time. 10%
Work with director of commercial marketing to develop and optimize marketing budget for business segment and obtain alignment with business segment leadership and marketing leadership.5%
Bachelors degree. MBA preferredExperience:5-7+ years of banking/financial services experience required, preferably in a B2B marketing-related role.
Experience marketing to B2B sales forces a plus.
Prior experience with marketing B2B cash management and payment solutions a plusIdeal candidate will have Business to Business Marketing Experience supporting sales forces targeting companies with over $100mm annual revenue.
Managing multiple channel marketing activities across digital, sales force, direct, media and event marketing channels to help drive necessary share of mind and sales engagement in support of new commercial productsResults-oriented with experience with developing marketing effectiveness/analysis to prove return on marketing investment.
Ability to work on multiple projects, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
Ability to consistently prioritize workflow with heavy emphasis based on business impact.Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
