The role of the Marketing Communications Intern
(Student must be living in the Boston Area at time of Internship)
The Marketing Communications Intern will work in the Corporate Marketing department at Seniorlink and support the work of our intensive care management model, Caregiver Homes as well as our tech platform, Vela. This individual should thrive working in a fast-paced, start-up environment and enjoy being part of a tight knit team. Duties will be varied, and will range from content/ collateral development, program support, competitive intelligence gathering to project coordination and administrative support. Students applying for this internship must have strong communication skills, be able to multi-task and should be majoring in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
This position will provide great exposure to marketing communications and the opportunity to learn and produce - as an important member of the Seniorlink corporate marketing team at a purpose -driven company.
Support the overall marketing team on the development and execution of key projects
Work on creation and development of print / digital collateral
Liaise with ad agency partner on key projects
Support development of internal communications, e-blasts, social media, press releases, postcards, flyers and other materials
Help coordinate the “Thank You Caregiver Nation” contest
Support competitive intelligence activities
Provide assistance on projects that require scheduling, follow up, and other support
Provide some key administrative support including coordinating print jobs, scheduling meetings, etc.
Students applying for this paid internship must be entering their junior or senior year in college and majoring in Communications, Marketing or related field
Must be familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in graphic design and or data/analytics a plus
Strong organizational skills, good project management abilities
Interested in print and digital communications, writing, and market research
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative, fast-paced, small team environment
