Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and hardworking Interior Designer III for immediate employment in the Boston, MA office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepares plans, designs, and specifies furnishings for interiors of a wide range of building types

  • Formulates design which is practical, aesthetic, and conducive to intended purposes, such as raising productivity, selling merchandise, or improving life style

  • Combines knowledge with aesthetic vision, works with Project Directors, Project Managers, Project Architects, clients and other design professionals to develop design solutions that are safe, functional, and attractive and meet the needs of the people using the space

  • Develops solutions to a wide range of difficult technical problems

  • Responsible for original design for part of project or have significant technical role working under only general direction

  • Identifies risks or problems and independently determines and develops solutions

  • Works with clients as well as the internal and external project team to execute the project from concept to execution and completion

  • Directs the work of junior designers

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree of Architecture

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience

Must be proficient in the following programs:

  1. Microsoft Office

  2. AutoCAD

  3. Revit

  4. SketchUp

  5. VRay

  6. Rhino

  7. Adobe Creative Suite

  • Must be comfortable working in a high energy environment with frequent swift deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the design of transportation buildings such as airport and/or rail passenger terminals

  • Experience with the software Lumion

  • LEED Certification
