Liberty Mutual Insurance is currently growing its Social Marketing group and we are looking for talented individuals who want to join an exciting team. As part of a major endeavor we are looking to enhance and further build out our Social Media footprint and initiatives. The summer intern on the Community Management and Customer Insights team will help the team moderate Liberty Mutual’s social channels, respond to commenters, support the CM lead with creative campaigns and work on research projects including competitive analysis and industry trends. The intern position will support the team with the following:
Help build and optimize social marketing programs focused on consumer engagement and improving brand awareness and consideration of Liberty Mutual
Work with our social experience management tool to track online conversations and sentiment
Tag, assign, and archive conversations in the tool
Escalate posts and comments to appropriate cross-functional teams
Listen and monitor social media conversations. Use insights gathered to inform content development and other areas.
Help with creative campaigns to bring Liberty Mutual sponsorships to life on social
Assist with reporting and analysis
Collect valuable listening intelligence to be distributed across organization
Monitor and stay up to date on relevant trending topics and changes to social media platforms to quickly locate opportunities for engagement
Conduct research projects
Help to identify new tools, technology, trends that Liberty Mutual should be utilizing
As an intern, you must be working towards a bachelor's degree and possess a minimum 3.0 GPA (Additional requirements might apply). To qualify for this role you must be able to work full time for a six month period (January through June).
In addition, the following criteria are highly recommended:
Proven communication skills with a focus on writing
Strong organization, analytical and project management skills
Familiar with information systems and software applications and social media channels (strong MSOffice - MSWord/Excel, Powerpoint)
Knowledge of social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram)
