Financial Services Industry Sector Leader, Consulting and Analytics Organization
The Financial Services Industry Sector Leader is the expert in the Financial Services field. They know what issues are being faced and what is trending. They are well connected and have eminence in their industry. Their career has been spent understanding the business drivers and trends that are being faced, and have a Point of View as to how to address those factors. This person will have a passion for how they can bring to market disruptive innovative thinking to enable the success of their business. They will first and foremost have a passion for transforming a business and a sense of urgency for building revenue and expert teams. They will be a seasoned executive and consulting leader with a strong capacity to understand business imperatives and how data can be the game changer. (S)he will have a history of enabling consulting services in the digital, data and analytics space with the ability to solution creative, repeatable, tip-of-the-spear solutions to drive the pull-through of large technology sales. This role will require that you build focused solutions that are repeatable and can be used across multiple use cases. In addition to enabling sales and building solutions, you will help to drive Teradata’s eminence in the industry by publishing, speaking and developing relationships.
The ideal candidate for this role will be an executive who is a seasoned business and technology professional that has previously built effective industry consulting teams that have delivered transformational solutions to solve business problems. They will have extensive experience identifying, building relationships with, and successfully enabling sales to C-level business leaders including the Chief Data Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Financial officer etc. They will understand a client’s key business initiatives, areas of concern, technology stack and competitive environment to guide them through how Teradata solutions can be applied to address their unique needs. They will be well versed in utilizing workshops, journey mapping, and design thinking to communicate a vision to their clients of the art of the possible and helping them to build their roadmap for success. They will enable the sale of both front and back office solutions with a focus on winning front end business and pulling through substantial technology sales. They will be responsible for P&L and utilization of their team targeted at 35 – 50%. An understanding of the process and value of building repeatable customer solutions to drive revenue will be imperative to success. They will possess strong communication’s and presentation skills and the gravitas to present themselves and Teradata as the premiere vendor for data consulting services to customer or prospects.
The Industry Sector Leader will be an industry expert with experience working for a product company with a services arm and/or consultancy that pulled through other products and services. Their history will include working with a sales organization and providing expert advice to the customer. They will have designed and implemented transformational changes that address the challenges the industry is facing whether it be financial, distribution, competition, etc. They will have previously been successful in a consulting or complex sales environment delivering enterprise solutions incorporating advanced analytics, BI, CRM, Digital, IOT, AI to existing and new logo accounts. This leader will be given the opportunity to shape and grow their practice with very high visibility in the organization. They will have responsibility for opening new logos, farming current accounts, and driving revenue, profitability, customer satisfaction and relationship management within their area of responsibility. They will work across the Americas Teradata organization to bring creditability and knowledge which will enable the building of trusted advisory relations within Teradata and the customer. They will follow trends in their industry and continually work to develop new and innovative solutions to address industry demands by building repeatable modularized solutions that wrap both product and services into innovative solutions. As a senior leader in the organization, this person will provide oversight and guidance to teams that will include Industry leaders/Consultants, Consulting Partners and Principal Consultants, Solution Architects, Project Managers, Sales and Off-shore resources, as well as Contractor, Partner, COE, and Client resources.
Build and manage a team of Industry leaders and consultants that have deep knowledge in their industry with an understanding of how emerging technologies such as Advanced Analytics, BI, Digital, IOT, AI, Marketing Services can and will change their customers business and disrupt the industry they are a part of.
Drive revenue in their industry(ies) through the whole of Teradata
Define the POV strategy for your assigned area of responsibility to quickly drive significant revenue increases.
Maintain full operational responsibility for planning, forecasting, budgeting, and financial results of assigned territory.
Manage the pipeline and sales funnel for the assigned area of responsibility.
Work directly with C-level clients to understand their business problems and develop repeatable solutions using Teradata consulting and product solutions that will drive and increase practice revenue.
Act in a manner of “land and expand” opening new logos and identifying ways to significantly grow revenue in existing accounts.
Provide delivery oversight to ensure a high level of delivery excellence and customer satisfaction.Build strong relationships across the Teradata organization to ensure ability to partner for success.
Mentor and coach junior team members such as Pre-sales Consultants, Project Managers etc.
Design and deliver webinars, white papers, seminars, workshops, etc. to share knowledge and establish eminence both internally and externally to the industry and customers.
Develop market facing opportunities to drive thought leadership and establish Teradata as the expert in your given domain.
Provenrecord of eight years’ minimum demonstrating the ability to manage a successfulbusiness and P&L.
Minimumof eight years as an internal or external consultant with broad exposure andexperience in a variety of circumstances and a proven record of success.
ProvenBusiness Intelligence / Data Warehousing / Advanced Analytics / Data Scienceexperience of at least 5 years.
Handson experience in several business disciplines such as data warehousing /business intelligence, or Advanced Analytics related consulting services,business operations, project management, information technology, softwaredevelopment, marketing, and sales with a proven ability and record of success.
Strongcommunications and presentation skills. Ability to positively presentthemselves, Teradata and consulting services to customer or prospects.
Abilityto recruit and retain key associates in management, presales and deliverypositions.
BS,MBA, or MS in business, technical or professional discipline or equivalent workexperience.
Continuouseducation in business strategies, design concepts and methodologies and/ortechnologies.
This position is working in a virtual office environment, including home, office & customer site. Travel up to 50% is also expected depending on the location of the candidate.
Our total compensation approach includes a competitive base salary and pension program, as well as other benefit programs dependent on country of hire.
