Position Summary:

The Diversity & Inclusion Manager serves as the primary advisor to the Vice President Talent Acquisition, Diversity & Inclusion and provides strategic advice and counsel to senior management on diversity-related issues, especially as they pertain to policy. Consults to the organization’s business unit leaders in developing and integrating diversity goals and strategies into all business and planning processes and practices. Compiles management reports for the department in support of the organization’s diversity business case and strategic direction.


  • Assists with the development of policies and programs to attract, retain and promote a diverse workforce for the organization.

  • Determines the appropriateness of introducing diversity initiatives and considers the unique needs of the organization.

  • Provides consultation and technical support to Senior Management in the establishment of organizational diversity goals, objectives, and strategies and develops/communicates plans to meet established goals.

  • Monitors internal and external diversity trends and legal developments impacting policy, the recruitment and retention of employees, and the acquisition and retention of members and volunteers.

  • Develops metrics for measuring the effectiveness of corporate diversity initiatives implemented and prepares quarterly reports to senior management on the value of the initiatives.


  • Develops and executes training plans to educate employees and managers on how to recognize, accommodate and appreciate individual differences and how these can be bridged back to assist in meeting company business plans.

  • Coordinates Diversity online learning including: vendor selection and management, materials and deployment of online training. Keeps current on diversity development programs and initiatives externally by maintaining contact with others in the field (e.g., professional association and educational groups, and professional development efforts).


  • The Diversity & Inclusion Manager supervises the Diversity Coordinator.

  • Lead and continually improve impact, efficiency, innovation and results of our ERG strategy and framework comprised of the company’s (8) Employee Resource Group Networks.

  • Oversee the execution of external partnerships/sponsorships with Talent Acquisition/key stakeholders.

Project Management and Communications

  • Lead key projects including; integrated D&I solutions within talent acquisition, talent management, and Talent Development.

  • Play a key role in managing communications and key recognition platforms for both internal and external communications.

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (Masters a plus) in Human Resources, Diversity & Inclusion, or business field

  • Minimum of five years of combined experience in Diversity and Inclusion, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Change Management, strategic/internal communications or similar

  • Minimum of one years experience organizing and executing large and small scale events

  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or Certified Diversity Professional (CDP), Certified Diversity Executive (CDE), Cornell Certified Diversity Professional (CCDP) or other related diversity certification, a plus.
