CVS Health Digital Strategic Partnerships & Innovation Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

Position Summary:

As a vital member of the Strategic Partnerships & Innovation team, the Manager will identify, evaluate and execute strategic partnerships that support innovation and growth priorities across the enterprise, including Retail Pharmacy, PBM, MinuteClinic, Omnicare and Specialty Pharmacy. This is a unique role that will marry business and strategic rigor with an innovator’s creativity and will be based in our Digital Innovation Lab in Boston, MA.

  • Support new business model development with external partners and CVS stakeholders including concept definition, work-planning, project management and initiative launch:

  • Identify key technology, healthcare and consumer trends that will impact Digital Innovation at CVS Health.

  • Maintain and prioritize pipeline of potential areas of focus, technologies and partnerships/deals.

  • Evaluate and develop strategies to support opportunities including competitive/market landscapes, partner evaluations and business cases.

  • Support deal structuring, negotiations, execution and internal implementation of a variety of partnership types.

  • Establish and manage relationships with key Innovation community members including accelerators/incubators, start-ups, financial sponsors and healthcare and technology companies.

  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize opportunity areas. Deliver regular updates to partners and key internal stakeholders.

  • Lead and/or support special projects as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • A Minimum of 2+ years of experience in management strategy consulting, investment banking, venture capital or private equity, corporate innovation or corporate development.

  • A minimum of 1+ years of experience and ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced team environment while producing a high quality work product.

  • A minimum of 1+ years of experience working closely with internal and/or external business partners / stakeholders to implement a proposed innovations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure or experience in technology, healthcare or retail sectors Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments.

  • Superior interpersonal skills and proven ability to build strong relationships cross-functionally both internally and externally.

  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects.

  • Ability to logically structure analytical approaches to complex problems to drive design choices (including advanced skills with Excel and PowerPoint skills).

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
