As a core member of the Digital Analytics team, you will be responsible for the analytical support and decision making around key Digital Claims projects. You will perform analyses on customer interactions with various digital tools offered by Liberty Mutual to further optimize existing capabilities and expand new functionalities.

The position requires strong analytical skills and creative problem solving skills, since he or she will be asked to develop business cases or measure the impact of projects and concepts that are brand new to the organization and, at times, the industry. This person will be expected to take full ownership over their projects including prioritizing, driving them forward to completion, partnering with key stakeholders, and delivering solid, clear, and fully supported recommendations. Strong communication skills are required as there will be opportunities to present to senior and executive level management and coordination across multiple functional groups will be necessary.


  • Conduct in depth analyses of eService performance across a variety of strategic online and mobile projects, and present recommendations to team members, product owners, and senior management.

  • Collaborate with Digital product team and Claims subject matter experts and provide analytical expertise

  • Identify and analyze customer journeys across multiple digital service touch points to enhance and optimize customer experience and drive business results.

  • Analyze the efficiency of customer actions and the results of optimization and testing efforts.

  • Analyze variances in KPI’s, present analysis to stakeholders, and assist in the development and monitoring of performance versus plan.

  • Analyze web site performance to gauge results of site enhancements and provide data-driven business insights.

  • Extract data from various applications and systems, in particular large relational databases, manipulate, explore data using quantitative, statistical and visualization tools, including but not limited to Excel, SAS, SQL, Heap, and Adobe Analytics / Omniture.

  • Mentor more junior team members


  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or other quantitative field.

  • Excellent communication skills for conveying analysis and recommendations to a variety of audiences. Ability to develop presentations with proven data interpretation capabilities.

  • Approximately 5 years of related work experience; Digital analytics experience is preferred, and a strong interest in digital is necessary.

  • Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and SAS/QL. Adobe Analytics and/or Heap experience helpful.

  • Must have good planning, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.

  • Must be able to define, shape, and drive projects to completion while effectively collaborating with others with little supervision.

  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated with a desire to learn new tools and technologies.
