Job Summary

AECOM is currently seeking a highly talented and hardworking Designer for immediate employment in the Boston, MA office.

Under the direction of a Principal, Project Architect, Project Designer or Project Manager the responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting architectural studies

  • Preparing presentation drawings

  • Developing design concepts and design criteria and other program information

  • Preparing reports, calculations, and detailed design and construction drawings

  • Performing routine to advanced applications involving the use of computer aided software

  • Assisting and actively participating in the design process, with an emphasis on the preparation of drawings and graphics to express the project’s design intent

  • Preparing rendered plans, sections, elevations, concept diagrams and 3D modeling using Auto CAD, Sketch Up, Revit and other presentation tools

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree of Architecture

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience

  • Willing to work in a highly energized architectural design environment, and will at times need to put in extra effort to meet tight deadlines

  • Proficient skills in Revit Architecture, Auto CAD, Google Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite CS5 and Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

  • LEED certification

  • Experience in the design of transportation buildings such as airport and/or rail passenger terminals

  • Experience with the software Lumion

  • Knowledge of other 3D graphic programs such as Rhino and 3D Studio Max
