The Opportunity

The Director of Sales & Marketing AI/Advanced Analytics will lead a team of Data Scientists and Data Engineers / Machine Learning Engineers to ideate, design, develop and implement AI/Advanced Analytics solutions to achieve desirable business result. As leader of the team, this role would closely work with Sales & Distribution leaders, Sales & Distribution Analytics & Reporting, Marketing leaders, as well as IT partners to strategize and execute AI/Advanced Analytics applications. It’s a unique position to bring innovative ideas (such as Gen-AI solutions) to live and have business impact directly with sound architecture, effective MLOps/LLMOps processes and comprehensive controls.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Data Scientist and ML Engineers, in collaboration with IT, architects, platform engineers and Data Office, to develop and implement Generative AI / AI / Advanced Analytics solutions to solve complex business problems and deliver business value.

  • Closely collaborate with business leaders (sales management team, marketing management team) to understand business need, provide feasible AI solutions and drive progress on projects with end solution and business value in mind.

  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and problem-solving support to project teams to ensure successful execution of projects.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI technologies and methodologies, and evaluate their potential applications to improve our AI engineering processes.

  • Drive the adoption of ML Ops practices within the GenAI engineering team, ensuring efficient and reliable deployment of GenAI solutions.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the GenAI engineering team.

  • Manage AI solutions and deployment with systematic approach which allow implementation at-scale and conduct responsible AI practices.

What we are looking for

  • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Maths, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field. Experience in Sales and Marketing, Finance industry is preferred.

  • Experience in leading and managing a team of Data Scientist and ML engineers, recruiting, developing and mentoring talent.

  • Strong communication, business acumen and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multi-functional teams and partners.

  • Experience in implementing and productionizing ML projects end-to-end including MLOps and Model Marketplaces.

  • Experience with leading GenAI/ ML Solution Pods for production ready AI applications.

  • Experience with scaled up release management for AI applications.

  • Experience with building microservice based architecture for AI/GenAI solutions.

  • Experience in working with large-scale data sources in complex environments, and implementing scalable and efficient data processing pipelines.

  • Expert knowledge in cloud platforms, especially Azure, in the context of AI/GenAI solution development and deployment, and common tools in data science.

  • Solid understanding of AI /Gen AI models and algorithms, and their applications in solving complex business problems.

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location

Boston, Massachusetts

Salary range is expected to be between

$120,610.00 USD - $223,990.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
