CFG’s Corporate Strategy & Development Group sets the strategic agenda and direction for the company and acts as a trusted advisor to CFG’s senior leadership (CEO, CFO, Presidents of businesses, and other members of the Executive Leadership Team). The team addresses high impact strategic issues across CFG’s portfolio of businesses, works with business leaders to develop and execute against strategic roadmaps, and identifies and executes against Corporate Development / M&A opportunitiesfor Citizens. The team also oversees development and oversight of enterprise‐wide revenue and efficiency efforts through Project TOP (Tapping our Potential).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop cross business strategies: Lead projects across their lifecycle: identify and structure the problem, analyze root causes, develop solutions, communicate project results, and get buy‐in for change.

  • Research and analyze market trends : Conduct market, competitive, and customer research to support business strategies.

  • Financial modeling: Carry out financial modeling to evaluate strategies and transaction decisions

  • Develop and deliver presentations: Develop presentations for senior management and Board of Directors, synthesizing key findings of analyses and recommendations. Raise and present key findings to team leaders.

  • Manage projects and support business realization : Work with businesses in the execution of strategies, coordinating and taking an active part in the implementation process.

Development Opportunities:

  • Position provides an opportunity to understand the full breadth of CFG’s retail and commercial banking businesses

  • Will also develop strong relationships across the firm including CFG’s business units, marketing, finance, treasury, risk management, and customer analytics

  • Significant room for growth within the group and the role also provides an excellent training ground for other roles within CFG or other consulting or management opportunities

Qualifications

  • Ideally 2 years work experience, recent graduate with strong internships will also be considered

  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical capabilities

  • Passionate, highly motivated, self-driven, and a strong orientation to making a change

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to think critically

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is preferred

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required
