This role reports to the Head of Public Relations and is responsible for supporting PR efforts across category globally. As a member of the Central PR team, the coordinator will assist in executing communication strategies for the brand and support the Sportstyle and Running and Training PR managers based here in Boston and will work cross functionally with category specific marketing teams as well as channel marketing teams. This role will lead product seeding and the product and sampling ordering process, support communications to regional PR teams, assist in planning and executing launch events, and coordinate PR efforts on behalf of the brand.

This candidate should have knowledge and experience with consumer media, the sports industry and fashion marketplace. This role requires someone who is organized, engaging, proactive, resourceful, self-sufficient, pays strong attention to detail and has the proven ability to be part of a team, work independently and multi-task.

  • Lead sample and product ordering process

  • Lead product seeding program, including creating special packaging for key product drops, maintaining seeding lists, and researching new opportunities

  • Write press releases and media pitches

  • Assist in planning and executing events

  • Communicate and facilitate global marketing strategies with regional PR teams

  • Research new media opportunities and PR influencers

  • Manage the development of PR placement reports and online monitoring of PUMA in the media

  • Assist in building presentations to communicate PR plans to internal team members and regional teams

  • Attend marketing meetings and represent the PR team

  • Communicate PR efforts and results to internal stakeholders

  • Bachelors degree in PR/Communications and/or Marketing

  • 1-2 years relevant PR experience, in-house or with an agency.

  • Familiarity and knowledge of consumer media, sports and fashion

  • Writing and organization skills

  • Enthusiasm to build key relationships media and influencers on behalf of the brand

  • Proven ability to work independently and multi-task

  • Must be detail oriented, resourceful, self-motivated and proactive

  • Project and event management skills

  • Strong computer skills, with knowledge of basic MS Office programs particularly power point
