Community Development Grant Manager - 1704203
The Community Development Grant Manager will coordinate charitable contributions for Santander Bank, N.A.s, Community Reinvestment Act Program and the Santander Bank Foundation. The Grant Manager will coordinate charitable giving activity and lead the development of strategic community partnerships and initiatives. The Grant Manager will be responsible for executing the Banks CRA strategy in the Banks footprint, developing grant partnerships in regions or on a community development topic such as affordable housing or economic development, and will coordinate the Banks involvement in community volunteer events.
Coordinate grant reviews with Consumer and Commercial business lines and the Retail Network.
Ensure CRA eligible charitable contributions and innovative community partnerships are properly documented for CRA examinations.
Represent the Banks charitable contribution programs externally.
Serve on community development boards and committees.
Develop internal and external reports and marketing material on the Banks charitable and volunteer programs.
Manage the internal and external communication of grants and innovative community partnerships.
Coordinate with Community Partnership Officers on the implementation of grant partnerships including financial education programs.
Ensure charitable contributions and sponsorships are compliant with all Bank policies and procedures.
Manage the grant reporting and evaluation process.
Lead the development of written community needs assessments, CRA performance context, and annual CRA self-assessments.
Develop relationships with community organizations, manage the grant review process, manage grant budgets and recommend community development grant and sponsorship requests for approval.
Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics, 7 years of CRA or community development experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage public/private partnerships and excellent project management skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of Community Reinvestment Act compliance and best practices in charitable giving.
Extensive knowledge of community development best practices in affordable housing, economic development, and/or neighborhood revitalization.
Knowledge of applicable regulations and IRS rules concerning charitable giving.
Knowledge of the grant making process including sourcing strong grant applications, assessing grant applications based on best practices, and coordinating grant reporting.
Minimum of 4 years hands-on experience with community development grant making or project management.
Strong analytic ability and knowledge of community development program evaluation methods.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to represent the Bank in public and community forums and develop written documents and presentations outlining the Banks community development strategies
