What you ll do We are seeking a Communications Senior Manager to serve as the communications lead for Market Development (MD), focusing on developing and executing against an internal communications strategy and creating internal and external communications (speeches, talking points, bylines, etc.) for the office of the Chief Marketing Officer. The successful candidate is a strong writer and creative thinker. Responsibilities include:Create and lead effective business-wide communications programs and campaigns to advance Market Development s strategy and vision.Liaise with members of the PR center of excellence and the Office of the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to develop the external platform for the firm CMO.Develop internal and external talking points, speeches, byline articles, LinkedIn long form posts and internal communications for Market Development and the CMO.Serve as a trusted business advisor and provide high-value insights to clients. Advise senior executives within the organization regarding best practices for communications strategies. Collaborate with clients to understand communication needs, objectives and challenges and assist in developing effective and innovative plans.Lead development of communications tactics, budgets, messaging platforms and channel strategies. Drive internal and external eminence communications strategy and calendars, and identifies topics to be covered in communications channels.Along with Marketing Services, develop and implement measurement tactics and tools gauging the effectiveness of the internal communications strategy, infrastructure, programs and activities against business objectives, while applying best practices gleaned from other areas to campaigns and projects.Collaborate with information technology, knowledge management and other relevant departments to consider or develop new technologies to meet business needs. Champion the use of new media and new thinking to meet communication needs (including new communications strategies, tactics and vehicles). Qualifications:Minimum 10 years of experience in Communications, Journalism, or related fieldBachelor s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or relevant field requiredDemonstrated success working as speechwriter for C-level executive, political figure, or other relevant writing experience requiredSuperior writing, editing, and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skillsAbility to create strong, compelling story arcs, and adapt writing style to meet needs of varied audiences/communications vehiclesExceptional relationship management skills to establish rapport, trust and confidence with key stakeholdersExperience working in and supporting a virtual workforce environment with team members across multiple offices/locationsExperience in collaborating with teams in a professional services or large matrixed company preferredAbility to manage multiple, and often complex, priorities with varying degrees of involvementStrong persuasive skills; able to gain consensus through influenceStrong negotiation and problem solving skills; flexibility and adaptabilityExecutive presence, professional client service manner, demonstrated ability to take initiative How you ll growAt Deloitte, our professional development plan focuses on helping people at every level of their career to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
