Marsh & McLennan Communications Manager in Boston, Massachusetts
The purpose of this position is to lead and coordinate the development of content and communication strategies for Mercer Wealth. This will include having strategic oversight over the various forums, ensuring the validity of the content, creating it, working directly with the Wealth Leadership team to coordinate the forums where the content will be delivered, etc. This position will also be responsible for managing current business learning and training curriculum and platforms to meet onboarding and development needs of the business.
Work with leaders and members of Wealth team to establish and implement an overall communication strategy and accompanying communication materials for leaders, supervisors and employees on various organizational initiatives. This includes:
Provide internal and support external communication activities that will help support the achievement of a $750M budget
Develop content that will be used for internal employee dissemination via blogs, newsletters, town halls, digital and social media campaigns, etc.
Crafting and writing communication strategies and plans
Using strong editorial and proofreading skills to review all communications distributed within the Wealth Leadership team or from the Wealth Leadership team to a broader employee group.
Advise and coordinate content design:
Perform continuous research and analysis of current content and communications platforms to develop strategies
Provide knowledge and understanding of industry tools
Partner with experts and use resources and tools created by COEs and external vendors to provide advice, peer review, and enable resources for the business on a regular basis
Lead and organize the effective roll out of learning and training programs across Wealth
Lead and manage New Hire training curriculum
Careerlink Administrator: Maintain and update all existing courses
Update coaching, exercises and online courses. Ensure accessibility.
Manage coordination of training champions. Lead quarterly training calls re: status, topics, leadership messages, success stories, leverage of materials and expansion opportunities.
Identify learning gaps and develop new training as needed. Identify objectives, audience and delivery method
Establish and strengthen relationships with key leaders and stakeholders across the business. Develop and maintain a network of HR, Communications, Marketing, Finance and business contacts to facilitate co-development and implementation of key deliverables.
Partner with business leaders to ensure communication goals are being met
Leverage resources and build connections across numerous constituencies to ensure successful project completion
Bachelor’s degree; Professional Certification and/or Master’s degree in Communications, Learning and Development or related field an asset
7-9 years communications, learning and development experience
Demonstrated communication, presentation/business writing and influence skills, project management skills
Experience in the financial services industry required
Proven ability to influence strategy and build strong partnerships
Experience developing internal, external communications campaigns that drive results and revenue
Experience developing digital and social media campaigns
Knowledge of current learning and development theory and practice
Proven ability to organize complex schedules and plans involving multiple partners, external vendors, and teams
Project management skills

Computer literacy including familiarity with e-learning and other training technology
