Role Summary:

The Pricing Leader has ownership and responsibility for Strategic Pricing of the GE Automation & Controls portfolio and supporting processes to publish price lists, execute Special Pricing Authorizations and other discount schedules. In this role, you will systematically improve pricing sophistication and business intelligence regionally to enhance data-driven selling. In addition you will execute discount structure recommendations to deliver financial benefits to GE and market share gain.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the Pricing Leader, you will:

  • Own pricing strategy for products and offerings and corresponding published price lists

  • Evaluate value of product / offering for the price quoted to customers; derive impact on win-rate

  • Identify margin re-capture opportunities from existing discount programs in place

  • Identify mechanisms to leverage price to increase wallet share with existing customers

  • Own the pricing Delegation of Authority; balance sales team empowerment with controllership

  • Deliver the annual contribution margin improvement required via pricing initiatives

  • Actively engage sales, product management, and IT functions to drive cross-functional improvements

  • Ensure compliance with company policy and global laws / regulations in all customer transactions

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Sales and Proposal

Desired Characteristics:

  • Master's Degree Business Administration / Graduate Degree, completed or underway, from an accredited business school

  • Prior experience with pricing models for technology product in B2B and/or B2C industries

  • Prior experience with fully-deployed pricing software (e.g. Vistaar, Zilliant, Vendavo, PROS,…)

  • Prior experience applying advanced statistical methodologies (e.g. regression) to pricing decision making

  • Ability to manage multiple complex transactions and priorities simultaneously

  • Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer

  • Excellent executive presence, interpersonal skills and demonstrated team leadership

  • Strong writing, organizational, communication and presentation skills

  • Self-starter with high level of energy

  • Ability to review / understand pricing obligations in customer contracts

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems

  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
