JOB RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY

Serve as a member of a producer teamfor Pearson’s Mastering online tutorial and assessment system for a variety ofscientific disciplines. Advise on and track all media components required forproducing multiple Mastering titles simultaneously, managing third-partyvendors as necessary. Work closely with editorial media producers to collectthe necessary components for the online course. Coordinate the production ofeach Mastering site, managing tasks ranging from content production to sitecreation to maintenance of existing titles.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managethe planning, budgeting, scheduling, development, and production for Masteringsites.

  • Ensuretight coordination and communication with all teams on a Mastering project:Editorial teams (acquisition, development, mediaproducers, and production editors), technical teams (software developers, webdevelopers), and product management.

  • Monitorand report on all project milestones through regular team meetings.

  • Responsiblefor the timely and cost effective delivery of richmedia components required for specific Mastering titles.

  • Managethe third-party Mastering content production vendors (schedules, contracts,invoices, and monitor spending).

  • Integratecompleted content into the final product.

  • Maintaincontent grids for Mastering content, such as end-of-chapter questions and studyarea assets

Qualifications

Related workexperience:

At least 6 months ofexperience in project management.

Formal education:

BA or equivalent.Candidate does not need programming skills but should have a solidunderstanding of online educational environments, as well as an interest inhelping to manage complex multimedia projects.

Excellent projectmanagement skills and attention to detail

 Excellentcommunication skills, both verbal and written

 Ability tocollaborate and lead in a team environment

 Ability tofacilitate project team meetings.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills required

  • Basic HTML a plus
