Colleges of the Fenway Associate Director of Advancement Corporate and Foundation Relations - Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts

Working closely with the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, develop and execute corporation and foundation strategies to build partnerships that meet revenue goals, raise the profile of Simmons, and support the school?s academic aspirations. In addition, this Associate Director will track and facilitate gifts from trusts and estates where Simmons is named as a beneficiary.

Essential Functions: Create and implement funding strategies that meet the annually established C&F; revenue goals Identify areas of strength within Simmons. Become knowledgeable of programmatic opportunities in each of those areas. Write compelling proposals, white papers, letters of inquiry, and other correspondence as required. Working with appropriate internal audiences, build accurate and timely budgets and budget narratives in support of proposals. Ensure the accuracy of all proposal attachments, as required by the funder. Maintain current audited financial statements, and other legal documents that may be requested by potential donors. Meet all proposal submission deadlines.

Build long-term relationships with select corporations and foundations, raising the profile of Simmons College with influential C&F; leaders and other key audiences. Review and evaluate existing relationships. Identify prospects most likely to support Simmons institutional priorities and design engagement strategies. Become thoroughly knowledgeable about Simmons as an institution, its history, its values, its leadership and what makes the school unique. Keep current on C&F; trends and identify opportunities for Simmons College.

Partner with Deans, faculty and senior administrators, to develop the content for successful proposals, and to participate in both on-campus and off-campus visits Maintain current on all institutional priorities. Communicate relevant Simmons information to potential donors on a timely basis. Be a resource to all internal audiences on C&F; matters, funding opportunities, etc.

Work closely with Advancement Communications to assume responsibility for proper and timely C&F; communications Ensure the accuracy of leave-behind materials for C&F.; Provide input for and monitor the effectiveness of the C&F; website.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. 8+ years of experience.
