Project manages diverse event portfolio and event marketing team.

Project manages diverse portfolio of corporate event types ( seminars, executive roundtables, sponsorships) with specific teams mapped as event type specialists. Drives alignment of messaging and overall strategy; helps to ensure that the right event is delivered to the right audience at the right time. Drives creative thought process and continuous evaluation and refinement of Oracle*s event marketing portfolio. Provides management with reports and analysis on program efficacy for future program selection and budget allocation. Provides effective performance management: set clear goals for all staff, provide regular feedback on performance and conduct a formal appraisal at the conclusion of the fiscal year. Manage the activities of the staff according to overall marketing strategies and budgets. Implement organizational changes in line with changing business and market.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced business skills in area of event production and design. 8 years relevant work experience. Software business management experience. Marketing experience in the IT industry. Proven ability to manage budget, approval processes, resource allocations in terms of both people and money. Professional credentials in Marketing, Academic credentials desirable.

We are looking for aninnovative thinker with experience in developing customer events that attractnew customers, cross-sell to existing customers, and progresses pipeline todeliver outstanding results. The Senior Event & FieldMarketing Manager willorganize and ensure the smoothoperation of key marketing events, from planning and budgeting toimplementation and reporting. This includes third-party and Oracle-led events, intimatenetworking receptions, roundtables, customer events, product launches,co-sponsored roadshow events and major trade shows that generate leads for ourNorth America SMB & CX sales teams.

The idealcandidate will exhibita highly professional demeanor, be able to manage across lines of business,cultures and geographies, and able to synthesize complexconcepts and net out large amounts of detail into afew key highlights. Communication skills, both verbal and written, must beexemplary. Information technology industry experience and understandingof competitive landscape is critical. Event experiencewith demand generation and MQL lead generation event driven marketing is amust.Experience working with senior-level executives is a plus.

Metrics andreporting is vital in this role as well, thus the ideal candidate will have aproven record of diligently tracking metrics and reporting on results. Thecandidate will be expected to track specific KPIs across our senior levelexecutives and create quarterly reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workwith North America SMB & CX Sales to translate business goals andobjectives from marketing plans into compelling event strategies and plans thatdeliver engagement, leads, pipeline and revenue.

  • Setpriorities in the implementation and creation of events that support thebusiness, program strategy/objectives, and integrated campaigns utilizingOracle Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Oracle portfolio content (offerings andmessaging), and aligned (high value) offers.

  • Workwith the corporate and integrated marketing team to ensure world-class qualityevent assets are produced including web content, marketing campaign assets andoffers, emails, ads, graphics, webinars, videos, etc.

  • Communicateon a frequent basis event plans and results to multiple sales organizations.

  • Developand deliver breakthrough ideas and innovative event activities / tactics thatattract new buyers and drive engagement.

o Createevent proforma/prospectus for the recruitment of partner sponsorships.

o Workwith the digital and social teams to develop a digital surround strategy thatengages the target audience and drives their active participation to meet theobjectives of the event.

  • Track,measure and report on event performance against agreed-upon metrics, workingwith the events team to identify and analyze gaps and actions plans tocourse-correct event execution.

  • Handson role-own an event plan and all aspects of execution through lead andpipeline results.

  • Managethe overall creation and execution of events on budget, on time and on target.

  • Communicateeffectively, on a regularly scheduled cadence, to ensure stakeholder alignment.


  • 10 years in an event strategy/planning role,preferably in the areas of event marketing, field marketing, and/or channelmarketing.

  • Strong event experience with demandgeneration and MQL lead generation event driven marketing

  • Track record of creating exceptional events

  • Strongunderstanding of communications strategy, marketing and branding principles

Proactive, problem-solving and organizational skills

  • Strong collaborativeand relationship-building skills

  • Ability to stay ahead of trends and bestpractices for event planning and promotions

  • Basic understanding of lead generation and flowwithin a B2B organization

  • Expertise in managingprojects across various, regionally distributed teams

  • Experience working across departments, withleadership, and with external agencies to guide event strategy
