Schneider Electric has a challenging opportunity for a passionate individual to assume the role of ‘Director, Offer Development & Marketing – Field Services’ in ourAndover, MA, United States location.

Better preventive and predictive maintenance using analytics & better field service operations can save significant life time operational cost while delivering comfort and productive environment to its occupants. The Buildings Business of Schneider Electric provides that smart building services to its customer leveraging Ecostruxure Building Operations software and Building Advisor managed services and service plans. We are looking for a smart, talented and experienced Director, Product management – Installed Base Services to transform our business by developing new service offerings & defining new business models

Primary Function:

As Director of Offer Development & Marketing for Field Services, you will play a pivotal leadership role defining new service offering, building new business models & executing roadmap working closely with R&D;, Operational marketing and Channel partners. The person will report to SVP, Building Management & will manage a team of product managers


1. *Develop a clear growth service strategy & offer roadmap*

  • Continuously seek input from customer, service sales team, channel partners via interviews, focus teams, user forums and understanding of competitive landscape to identify new growth opportunities on our installed base

  • Developing future service offer vision, business cases & winning roadmap to enhance Schneider Electric’s market positioning

  • Leverage IoT/Cloud paradigm to develop a digital service strategy based on Analytics

  • Identifying potential acquisition & alliances opportunities to support product development strategy

2. *Develop innovative service offering and manage life-cycle evolution*

  • Identify possible service offering and business models to meet market needs

  • Evaluate strategic fit, market potential and financial analysis to determine business case

  • Prioritize offers based on business case, strategic fit and competitive intelligence

  • Determine offer specification and plan roadmap and release dates

  • Coordinate with other product management teams to ensure services is imbedded in the product strategy

  • Seek and integrate feedback from customers, operations and sales teams to improve and strengthen offer

  • Execute End of Life activities as needed

  • Seek innovative technology ideas to enhance product competitiveness

3. *Define Pricing Strategy: *

  • Define overall value based pricing strategy to maximize ROI

  • Conduct pricing exercise to establish near- and long-term policy

  • Monitor & adapt the reference market prices and educate operational & sales marketing teams

4. *Sales Enablement & Marketing communication:*

  • Collaborate with marketing communication to drive demand creation activities & build offer awareness (Clear & Compelling value proposition, competition benchmark, thought leadership, customer case studies)

  • Conduct market testing & validation

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert and Evangelize/Train sales teams on offer value proposition

  • Cross-functional collaboration with marketing communication, operational marketing & sales to have high-impact product launches

  • Identify and proliferate best-practices and lessons learned

  • Coordinate sales support tools development and support regional sales teams

5. *Build a high-performance service product management team:*

  • Develop strong customer centricity culture

  • Inspire and Hire excellent talent

  • Develop strong competency development plan for team based on 3E principle (Exposure, Experience, Education)

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Strong blend of Sales & Marketing with a proven track record for building installed base driven Services business

  • 5+ years of product management / development experience in Services business

  • Bachelor’s Degree/MBA Preferred

  • Exceptional critical thinking & analytical skills and the ability to make informed & fast decisions

  • Driven, decisive, and an unrelenting desire to challenge the status quo

  • Experience in Building Automation & Energy Efficiency is a plus

  • Ability to navigate and understand a multicultural business environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • English mandatory as working language

  • Entrepreneurial, collaborative and open to travel as needed (25-50% travel required, domestic and international)
